Welcome to Our Nursery

At Wordsworth Nursery we take children from  2-4 years old, when they will move on to school and can apply to join our Reception classes. We are a diverse and inclusive setting, maintaining positive links with our local community.

We have a passionate and dedicated team of staff with a wealth of experience in Early Years who provide an exciting and varied curriculum, supporting children in all 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to develop at their own pace. We believe that all children should have the chance to learn and play in a safe and stimulating environment, with access to quality indoor and outdoor provision. We provide a mixture of planned activities and free flow, in the moment, child-led play, embedding the Wordsworth Primary School values of; learning, trust, community, nurture and empowerment.

Our Nursery children have access to all areas of the Wordsworth Primary School site including our school field and nature zone, providing them with more opportunities to explore the natural world and enhance their physical development.

We work closely with the Reception team to ensure a smooth and positive transition into school.
