Dear Year 6
We hope you are all keeping safe and well. Our motto over the coming weeks is this: We may not have to prepare for SATS now, but we do have to prepare for Year 7! With this in mind, we suggest you complete the following each day this week:
Reading or Writing task based on 'Pig Heart Boy' - these can be found in the Reading and Writing Folders in 'Learning from Home'.
You can also be creative with your writing! Look on sites like http://www.pobble365.com/. This site has a different picture each day and suggested activities you can do, but don't feel restricted to those choices! Do something you enjoy!
A Maths task from the following:
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/ - White Rose Home Learning daily Maths lessons. This week the focus continues with ratio.
Some Maths revision using the practice sheets in the Maths folder in 'Learning from Home'. At the moment, these mainly focus on the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
In addition to this, if you are unsure of your multiplication tables, please practice them - knowing them will put you in a fantastic position for Year 7!
Have a look at the different tasks we have assigned and do one each day.
Joe Wicks is doing a 'PE Work Out' each day. It's important to stay fit and healthy during this time.
Try to read every day. At the moment Audible, a website containing audio books, is free, so if you'd prefer to listen, you can listen here:
First News - this is a newspaper aimed at KS2/3 pupils. If you look in the links below this message, you will find this week's edition, with puzzles, comprehensions and quizzes to do. There are 3 different levels to these, so you can do the one you feel the most comfortable with.
Epic! - by accessing this website you can read and listen to lots of books for free:
