Good morning Year 5!
Today we have Maths (plus 5-a-day), Writing and Computing tasks for you :)
We are so excited to see lots of you on Monday and Tuesday!
Have a lovely weekend!
Miss Harvey, Mr Walsh and Miss Galbally :)
Below is a timetable of when work will be uploaded to the Year 5 page. There are some things that we'd like you to do every day, and some ideas for extra things if you would like to do more. Each day there will be two main tasks for you to complete. If you send your work to your teacher, we will give you house points.
Key message for home learning for parents
At the bottom of this page, there is a document called 'Home learning key messages from parents', which is an update from school about recommendations for home learning. We hope this is helpful, and as always if you have any questions or queries please contact your child's teacher on Class Dojo.
The key message that we want to send is please do not feel overwhelmed with the amount of tasks on the website. There is no expectation for your child to complete all the tasks being set for home learning, we just want to provide choice for your children- please just submit whatever you can achieve. We love hearing about all of the other lovely things that you have been busy with too.
The most important thing for all of us is that your children are safe and happy. Please don't worry that they will be falling behind or missing out on learning. As a school we will strive to ensure that gaps in learning are filled and that your child is supported both emotionally and academically when they return to school, whenever that may be.
A note for parents 23.02.20 - Dear Parents, this might be useful if your child is worried about coronavirus. This book has been produced by an intensive care nurse at Southampton General Hospital to help explain things to them: Dave the dog
Take care and stay safe!
