Throughout our Autumn Term Sound Topic, the children in 4G and 4N have been busy developing their own dance routines to the theme of STOMP. They choreographed their own routines, and put these together using counts of 8 and 16. 4G focused primarily on using their body for percussion, whilst 4N went on to incorporate a recycled object as part of their routine.
Whilst 4G/N were busy with their dance routines, 4GN spent time learning the art of Tag Rugby with Lee from the Saints Foundation. They learnt the rules of the game, and how to pass/tag effectively to defend or attack.
On Thursday afternoon, Year 4 joined together in the hall to show eachother their learning. We had some fantastic examples of team work from the 4G & 4N dancers, and received an exciting demonstration from 4GN to show us exactly how to tag our opponent and maximise points.
Well done Year 4 - a lovely way to end our Sound Topic together!
