Spelling is a hugely important part of the Writing curriculum, and it is vital that children can apply their knowledge of spelling across all of their independent writing.

We would love it if children could practice the spelling that they have not yet mastered on the year 3+4 or 5+6 spelling lists. We have spent time in class this year spelling all of the words from the lists so they may already have an idea of which words they will need to practice. If they do not, they can spend some time going through the lists using the look, cover, write skill.
Below, along with the lists of words, we have attached some challenge cards which the children can use to help them learn new spellings.
