Our Early Years Vision

Wordsworth Primary and Nursery School is proud to be an inclusive and diverse community of children and staff learning side by side from the moment they join us. We embrace difference as a strength and foster a strong sense of belonging with full participation for all our children irrespective of individual needs. As staff and governors, individually and collectively, we accept responsibility for creating a culture in which all children can flourish, experience the joy of childhood and receive a high quality education with appropriate adjustments to take into account academic, social and emotional needs to ensure there are no barriers to learning.

 

Our curriculum of childhood blends inspiring experiences, enriching opportunities and child-led exploration in order to make learning irresistible. Skilful adults ensure that every moment counts through high quality interactions that challenge children's thinking, supports them to follow their own individual journey of discovery and nurtures their personal development so that they develop a strong sense of self.  By the end of their time in early years, children will have explored their talents and interests and will see themselves as readers, writers and mathematicians with a thirst for knowledge and a keen curiosity of the world around them.
