Our current topic is measurement and we have been exploring length, mass, temperature and capacity. The children have really engaged with this topic as it is very practical. There are lots of things you can do at home to keep them thinking about measurement. For example, pour some water into a cup/ jug and get them to measure it. Can they tell you which item is the heaviest and why? Is the larger item always the heaviest?
We will be posting maths work regularly so keep checking in!
Practise quick recall of number bonds to 10 and 20. For example, 6+4 = 10 so 6 + 14 = 20.
Also practise quick recall of 2, 5, 3 and 10 times tables and associated facts e.g. 2 X 5 = 10 so 5 X 2 = 10 that also means 10 ÷ 5 = 2 and 10 ÷ 2 = 5.
