Week beginning 21.09.20
This week we are working on our 'fetch' (retrieval) skills. We are learning to find answers even when the key words in the question are not in the text, and also to find supporting evidence for our answers.
This week we are writing a sequence of diaries from the perspective of Michael (in Kensuke's Kingdom). Children will choose four different events from the story and plan out Michael's thoughts and emotions at each point. We are hoping to show a change in emotions through each diary entry. Find the planning grid below.
This week we are recapping the four main operations in maths: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Use the tasks to practice your skills!
This week we are learning about Charles Darwin's voyage on the HMS Beagle! Take a look at the PowerPoint below, and see if you can write Charles' diary from when he arrived on the Galapagos Islands! There is an example diary for some inspiration!
