05/06/20 - Dragon task 3

The attachment now includes a story starter based on the picture of the soaring dragons. You have got two tasks to do:

  • Identify the parts of the text that help you see the picture if the text was read to you with your eyes closed. What similes, metaphors and adjectives are used to do this?
  • Identify and research any words that you don't understand or think are exciting. Use a Thesaurus to find other words that means the same. Build up a word mat of words and phrases that make this text interesting.

04/06/20 - Dragon task 2

This is your second Dragon task and comes in two parts.

The first part is to improve the sentences on the sheet by using description and adverbs. On the upload is a list of adverbs to help you do this. An example of an improvement would be 'The dragon flew through the sky.' changed to 'The magnificent horned dragon flew peacefully through the evening sky.'

The second part is to draw and label the dragons home. Think carefully about how you would describe it.

03/06/20 - Dragon task 1

Your first task relates to the dragon picture attached below. Have a good look, take in all the details the picture shows not just what the creature is. The more you look the more information you will gain. Then have a go at answering the questions in detail. This is part of a sequence of work over this week and next.
