Friday 3rd July - Today's task is all about being a responsible digital citizen. In this game, you will be helping out a fictional character, Joe, who is experiencing some cyberbullying. Can you help him make the right choices about how to deal with this problem?
Friday 26th June 2020 - Your task today is to have a go on this Internet Safety game, which will ask you to make some decisions about what you would do in certain situations when using the internet. Enjoy, and stay safe! :)
Friday 19th June 2020 - Today we're learning how to choose secure passwords! Have a look at the document 'Password Protected' below.
Friday 12th June 2020 - Today we're thinking about photos that have been edited and how to spot them! There isn't a paper task to do, just a PowerPoint and some photos to have a look at. I hope it's a useful job!
Friday 5th June 2020 - Today we are going to focus on a little bit of internet safety. There is a PowerPoint to read, all about Spam emails, and then a task to do. You can choose which level of the activity to do (1, 2 or 3 stars).
Hello Year 5!
Wordsworth have recently subscribed to a new website called Discovery Education, where you can learn lots of coding skills!
Each Friday, we would like you to spend some time (how long is up to you!) learning new skills on there. You already have some excellent skills from building your two-player computer games in school last term!
Check your class story on Dojo for details for how to log-on.
Once you're logged on, you will need to do the Level 1-3 refreshers (we think you'll already know some of these skills), and then start on Level 4 (in the Block Coding section). If you find the refreshers tricky, then you can go back and do those full levels. You can work at your own pace - no pressure.
We hope that you will all return to school as expert coders!
