Computing

In Computing, a huge part of the curriculum is coding. Coding sounds fancy, but actually it just means programming (telling) something to do something. We have a subscription to Discovery Education, where the children can learn new coding skills. This page will be updated every Thursday, directing you to to the next game we would like you to do, but you can always repeat a game if you need to.

Although this is the last time we are going to be telling you which coding game to play you re welcome to keep going with the games on the website until you have mastered level 4!

If you are ready today it is time to try the next level four task. Once you've logged in select 'block coding' in the top bar, then choose 'introduction to variables' under level 4. Then choose the fourth game in the list 'tablet till'. Have fun!

I hope you've had a lot of fun learning how to code! If you ever find a lesson tricky you can always have another go. If you are ready today it is time to try the next level four task. Once you've logged in select 'block coding' in the top bar, then choose 'introduction to variables' under level 4. Then choose the second game in the list 'Catch the Coconuts.' Have fun!

Well done everyone! We have finished catching up with all the coding that children in years 1, 2 and 3 are doing now! 

This time we are having a go at the first level 4 task! Once you've logged in select 'block coding' in the top bar, then choose 'introduction to variables' under level 4. Then choose the first lesson call 'pop game'. Have fun!

We hope you're having lots of fun learning how to code. This week, once you've logged in, select 'block coding' in the top bar, then choose 'refresher 1-3' under Level 4. This time please choose the level 3 game 'hungry snake'. 

This is our last refresher, so catch up of all the skills you would have learnt in year 1, 2 and 3. Next week we'll be starting on the Year 4 activities!
